Misha and Puff is one of my favorite kids clothing brands. The brand was founded in 2011 by Anna Wallack after her baby son spent his first winter in Boston bundled in clothing hand-knit by Anna. Not only are their designs beautiful, but each piece is hand-knit in Lima, Peru. Anna set out to build a brand that supported and collaborated with its' knitters and their families. Through the building of a knitting center in Lima, Misha and Puff is able to provide childcare and meals for the craftswomen and their families. Each piece that is purchased from Misha and Puff helps to support these women and their families.
Misha and Puff is based out of nearby Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. They are primarily an online retailer but recently opened (and sadly closed as of today) a holiday pop-up shop at 91 Newbury Street in Boston that was truly magical.
Besides featuring their own collection, the shop also carried a bunch of other great items including this Soor Ploom skirt and these PePe folk boots. They also had an adorable play area featuring a Kalon Studios divan bed, various vintage toys, Polka Dot Club stuffed animals, and Elsa Beskow books. While I browsed the store, Anna, the founder, was even kind enough to play with Dylan.
In the final days that the shop was open, Misha and Puff hosted their first ever sample sale. I picked up a bunch of knits for Dylan, including a beautiful popcorn sweater and bloomers!
I also got Dylan a few of their curated items, including Ollie's Ski Trip by Elsa Beskow, some hand knit alpaca finger puppets, and a hand knit sheep.
I got a sneak preview of the Misha and Puff SS 2017 line, and it is adorable -- it's full of soft colors and flutter sleeves. Visit Misha and Puff to check out the entire FW 2017 collection and use the code 'NEWYEAR' to get 30% off of your order.
