Our Valentine's Day was mellow but sweet. Dylan woke up in her pink onesie and immediately noticed her first surprise of the day -- a heart garland adorning her crib. She was so interested in it and kept trying to pull the hearts into her crib. I think it would be a fun tradition to have a garland in her room for every holiday.
I gave Dylan her Valentine's gift and as predicted, she was way more into the wrapping paper than the gift. After mouthing all of the wrapping paper, we read the "Love" book that she received. It is such a sweet, simple story and I highly recommend it.
For our Valentine's Day dinner, I put together a cheese plate as an appetizer because per usual, dinner was not running on schedule. I cooked a parmesan-crusted rack of lamb and a roasted cauliflower with whipped goat cheese which both turned out great. The biggest win of the day is that we were all asleep before 10pm!
Hope you had a loving Valentine's Day!
